Meet our newest VP-Finance, Harper Anderson! When she's not busy helping our chapter budget she's working hard in her business classes.

Where are you from?

Birmingham, Alabama!

What are you majoring in?

I'm majoring in accounting

What made you interested in being on council?

I was interested in being on council because I wanted to hold a leadership role. I had only held an appointed officer role before, so I wanted to try something new! I knew VP Finance would be hard work, but it would pay off in the future by not only allowing me to experience things in the field but by giving me the opportunity to make connections with other people on council and other leaders in KD.

What is your favorite KD memory so far?

My favorite KD memory happened this past year during recruitment. Aside from just becoming super close with my sisters, my birthday was actually on Values night. I remember everyone making me feel so special even though we were all stressed and tired. This really showed me how much my sisters care about me. They made me feel so loved!

What are you most excited about for your position of VP-Finance?

In my position, I am looking forward to overcoming challenges. This job requires a lot of outside time, so I think it will really help me prepare for the real world and my time management skills. I am also extremely excited to become close with sisters I may not have been close to before!

What's a weird or unknown fact about you?

A weird fact about me is that I want to get into boxing! I've always been fascinated by the sport and I am about to begin training.

"Harper has been one of my best friends since move-in day freshman year. She was my roommate and rock and we were both so excited when we got to run home together! She's one of the most level-headed, caring, and compassionate people I've met and has been a perfect addition to this council. She's the kind of girl that is going places and I hope to be there to cheer her along! Love you Harp!"-Margaret Kennedy (PC '18)

We're so proud of Harper and all of the work she's done so far to keep our chapter financially on track and we can't wait to see what else she does for our chapter in the future!

AOT,

Alpha Upsilon
