Feeling a little couped up indoors these days? Same! We've been off campus for almost two weeks now and while we're trying to keep busy over this extended Spring Break before classes start back Monday a large majority of our chapter has taken to some exercises that help keep us motivated and in a routine.
AOT Alternating Lunges

Hey guys! Manon, our chapter's health and wellness expert, recommends that you do 20 AOT alternating lunges (10 on each leg). Olivia is seen here on her back porch in Jackson, MS demonstrating an alternating lunge with a little throw what you know flair! Manon recommends that you group these lunges with Sara's sit-ups and Dagger dips to get the best results.
Sara's Sit-ups

Manon recommends that you do 30 Sara's sit-ups as a part of this three-move routine. McLean is pictured here, doing a sit-up in her backyard with her assistant and honorary KD pup Mae Mae. (While Mae Mae is a great motivator she is not a great counter, so we suggest counting for yourself)

Starting off this next three-piece workout routine we have Lenora's Lateral lunges. Cass demonstrates these poolside at her house in Orlando! Manon recommends 20-30 of these lateral lunges- just pace yourself!
Julia's jumping jacks

As it turns out, taking a selfie timer of jumping jacks is actually fairly hard, so this is McLean's best attempt (sorry!). Need a little pep in your step? We recommend 30 Julia's jumping jacks for an extra bounce in your stride!
Mary's mountain climbers

To end this particular routine Manon (seen here in her driveway) suggests that you do 30 mountain climbers! She also recommends taking your time and taking deep breaths throughout all of these workouts.

Our final exercise routine features Nautilus shell squats, Teddy bear bicycles, and confidence crunches. Here we have Cass demonstrating a perfect squat poolside at her house in Orlando!

The next step in this workout is Teddy Bear bicycles! Manon recommends 20-30 bicycles like Bailey is doing here at home in Baton Rouge!

Our final step in this workout is confidence crunches! Here is MK doing the suggested 20-30 to complete her workout!
Whether it's taking a walk around your neighborhood, going for a run on your treadmill or demonstrating your newfound yoga skills we at Alpha Upsilon say go for it! We've found that getting outside of the house and enjoying this incredible spring weather has been a really fun way to keep motivated over the past two weeks and we encourage you all to get out there too!
